Impact of Pupil Aberrations on Wavefront Manipulation
نویسندگان
چکیده
A systematic and quantitative analysis is given of the impact pupil aberrations on imaging performance in wavefront manipulation applications using adaptive optical elements. For practical case rotationally-symmetric types corrections, such as defocus or spherical aberration, analytical expressions induced are derived including their field dependence. Each aberration thereby related to specific present at element. The results can be used specify acceptable amount correction required for a magnitude type manipulation.

Pupil wavefront manipulation for optical nanolithography
As semiconductor lithography is pushed to smaller dimensions, process yields tend to suffer due to subwavelength topographical imaging effects. Three dimensional or “thick mask” effects result in such things as a pitch dependent best focus and, for alternating phase shift masks (AltPSMs), an intensity imbalance between etched and un-etched features. Corrective mask structures such as the dual t...
متن کاملWavefront Aberrations
Lower order aberrations are another way to describe refractive errors: myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, correctible with glasses, contact lenses or refractive surgery. Lower order aberrations is a term used in wavefront technology to describe second-order Zernike polynomials. Second-order Zernike terms represent the conventional aberrations defocus (myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism). Lower o...
متن کاملEffect of Pupil Size on Wavefront Refraction during Orthokeratology.
PURPOSE It has been hypothesized that central and peripheral refraction, in eyes treated with myopic overnight orthokeratology, might vary with changes in pupil diameter. The aim of this work was to evaluate the axial and peripheral refraction and optical quality after orthokeratology, using ray tracing software for different pupil sizes. METHODS Zemax-EE was used to generate a series of 29 s...
متن کاملMicrofluctuations of wavefront aberrations of the eye.
To investigate fluctuations in the wavefront aberrations of the eye and their relation to pulse and respiration frequencies we used a wavefront sensor to measure the dynamics of the Zernike aberrations up to the polynomial fourth radial order. Simultaneously, the subject's pulse rate was measured, from which the instantaneous heart rate was derived. We used an auto-regressive process to derive ...
